The purpose of this weeks work was to help us get into a math mind set. This week we watched a few videos and did some work to ease our selves into math. The videos talked about our ability to learn. One of the videos talked about speed and they were talking about how the speed you do your work at has nothing to do with your ability to do math. Another video talked about how failing can be a good thing because it helps us learn. We learned that anyone can learn math if you try. Something I learned from the videos is that your brains still grows from making mistakes. I also found out that no one is really a "math person" and everyone is just as capable of learning math. I enjoyed these 2 two things the most because I never knew about it before and it actually interest me. we did a serious of worksheets including stairs to squares, hailstone sequence, Tiling a 11x13 rectangle etc.

Our class all did one or more hailstone sequences on the board and a few are shown above. We all had to think really hard. I think I did 100% this week by watching and participating both solo and in a group. I didn't really enjoy it because math is not my best subject but I am capable of doing it and I learned some new things.
