The greatest tool I've used to study for Spanish is for sure a Spanish dictionary. Its helped with my strategy of writing it in English and then translate each word, one by one and putting it together. I am motivating myself with my grades, no grades means no friends or games. It's been working pretty well. My goals are to be able to go to mexico for my families annual cruise to mexico and be able to navigate us when we are there. The first day of Spanish, I was confident i just had no clue what to say because i didn't know Spanish, i'm just a outgoing person. But now i can easily go up in front of everyone and hold a good conversation. If I were to imagine myself having a conversation with someone who only speaks Spanish, I think it'd be like me being slower then them. Id try to use the roots i know to find out what he/she is saying. I have a few topics i like to talk about, my favorite one is food. I like to talk about food because a lot of roots you can understand what they're saying and food is always really good. I chose to work with my Spanish teacher because I can rely on her to know whats she's talking about. Most people I know I cant put my grades in their hands. I've seen commercials in Spanish but not really listen to it because it used to annoy me because I had no clue what was going on. Just like T.V I've heard radio commercials in Spanish but i always skip them because i don't know whats going on. Outside of school i practice Spanish with a dictionary, first I set up a sentence in English and one by one put the Spanish sentence together. I always use the roots to find out what its saying unless its a cognate then i have to translate it. I try to find the words i know and piece it together. That is my Spanish reflection
